Mystery Number Skype

We are still working on our numbers to 20 with children around the world through Mystery Number Skype calls.  Last week we added a new tool to our problem solving strategy by using the number chart on an iPad.  Of course a few of us prefer to use a white board.  Here we are learning with children in Iowa.

  1. Can you tell me more about the Mystery Number Skype activity? Sounds fun, I'd love to try it with my gr. 2 class but I'm not sure how your class does it.... thanks! :)

  2. When we do Mystery Number Skype we guess the secret number from the other class or the other class guesses our number. We ask questions that can only be answered with a yes or a no. Some of our questions are is it between...., does it have one digit.... does it have two digits..., etc. It is a fun game to play with other kids from other parts of the world.
